AN ACT CONCERNING ELECTION OF THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish the state Insurance Commissioner as an elected state official, who shall be elected to a four-year term that is coterminous with the term of the Governor.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that the Insurance Commissioner be an elected state official.
