AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF ACCELERATED REHABILITATION IN THE CASE OF ANIMAL ABUSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 54-56e of the general statutes be amended to provide that any person charged with animal abuse be prohibited from using the accelerated rehabilitation program.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent persons charged with committing animal abuse from using accelerated rehabilitation to avoid prosecution and clear their record.
