AN ACT CONCERNING CHILD SAFETY AND CAR SEATS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require an alarm mechanism to be installed on car seats that would alert the driver of the vehicle that a child is present once the vehicle is parked.
Statement of Purpose:
To enhance the safety of children in the state by alerting the driver of a vehicle when a child is accidentally left in a parked car.
