AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS TO OFFER OPIOID TREATMENT IN ALL OF ITS CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Corrections to offer opioid addiction treatment in all of its correctional facilities.
Statement of Purpose:
To combat the opioid crises in the state, thereby reducing crime and saving lives.
