AN ACT EXTENDING THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS IN MEDICAL MALPRACTICE CASES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 52-584 of the general statutes be amended to provide that a medical malpractice action may be brought not more than ten years from the date of the act or omission which serves as the basis for the action.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect bona fide claims in medical malpractice cases by extending the applicable statute of limitations.
