AN ACT CONCERNING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE BUSINESS ENTITY TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 213a of the general statutes be amended to exempt from the business entity tax any S corporation or limited liability company with less than five thousand dollars in net profit for the year.

Statement of Purpose:

To exempt certain small businesses from the state business entity tax.
