AN ACT REDUCING HABEAS CORPUS PETITIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 915 of the general statutes be amended to limit the filing of petitions for a writ of habeas corpus in accordance with the recommendations of the Chief State's Attorney.
Statement of Purpose:
To expedite the criminal appeals process without infringing on the constitutional rights of defendants.
