AN ACT LIMITING COMMITTEE STAFF SALARIES FOR CANDIDATES PARTICIPATING IN THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to establish a maximum amount the treasurer of a candidate committee may pay in expenses for compensation of any member of campaign staff when such committee receives a grant under the Citizens' Election Program and such grant is used for such compensation.
Statement of Purpose:
To restrict the amount a campaign staffer may receive in compensation when Citizens' Election Program moneys are used for such purpose.
