AN ACT ESTABLISHING A QUASI-PUBLIC ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to streamline the state's economic development process by establishing a new quasi-public economic development agency that would assume the responsibilities and essential functions of the Department of Economic and Community Development, the Connecticut Development Authority, Connecticut Innovations, Incorporated and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority.
Statement of Purpose:
To create a single, more efficient and user friendly quasi-public economic development agency.
