AN ACT CONCERNING NOTIFICATION OF ANNUAL FIRE INSPECTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That titles 47 and 47a of the general statutes be amended to require that (1) all leases for rental residential multi-family properties include a notice that the tenant must make the premises available to fire department officials for annual fire inspections, and (2) condominium associations notify residents that multi-family condominium units must be made available to fire department officials for annual fire inspections.
Statement of Purpose:
To require notice of annual fire inspection requirements to residents of multi-family properties.
