AN ACT CONCERNING STATE EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require all employees entering state service on or after July 1, 2011, to participate in a defined contribution benefit plan instead of the defined benefit retirement plan.

Statement of Purpose:

To clearly define future retirement benefit costs.
