AN ACT ESTABLISHING ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION OFFICER STAFFING LEVELS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 26-5 of the general statutes be amended to require that the total number of environmental conservation officers appointed by the Commissioner of Environmental Protection shall not be less than (1) sixty for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012, (2) sixty-five for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013, (3) seventy for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014, and (4) seventy-five for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the number of environmental conservation police officers.
