AN ACT CONCERNING CONFLICT OF LAW PROVISIONS THAT ARE APPLICABLE TO COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to modify the state's conflict of law provisions that are applicable to commercial transactions by shifting from the substantial contacts model to a more permissive model based on New York General Obligations Law Section 5-1401.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit out-of-state corporations to choose Connecticut law to govern their commercial transactions.
