AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL PARTICIPATION IN THE REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS BEFORE THE SITING COUNCIL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 277a of the general statutes be amended to provide for ongoing municipal review of and recommendations regarding site plans from applications to the Siting Council for facilities located in such municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase local participation with regard to the siting of utilities by the Siting Council so that municipalities may participate not only at the time an application is submitted to the Siting Council, but also as the application progresses.
