AN ACT AIDING THE SPOUSES OF INSTITUTIONALIZED PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to allow the community spouse of an institutionalized person to retain the maximum amount of resources available under federal law to live independently in the community for a longer period.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow the spouse of an institutionalized person sufficient resources to live independently in the community for a longer period.
