AN ACT CONCERNING CHANGES TO THE AGE OF JUVENILE JURISDICTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that youth seventeen years of age be included in the juvenile justice system beginning July 1, 2014, rather than July 1, 2012, as currently provided.
Statement of Purpose:
To delay until July 1, 2014, the inclusion of youth seventeen years of age in the juvenile justice system.
