AN ACT REVISING THE NEW CAR LEMON LAW.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the requirement that the purchaser of a new motor vehicle is required to make multiple attempts to have the new vehicle repaired, provided a motor vehicle mechanic certifies the defect.
Statement of Purpose:
To make it easier for consumers to obtain a new car if they purchase a defective new one.
