AN ACT CONCERNING TAX ABATEMENTS FOR NEW BUSINESSES OCCUPYING VACANT PROPERTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize a municipality to abate real estate taxes or personal property taxes of new start-up businesses that will occupy vacant commercial buildings in such municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage new commercial uses of vacant properties through tax abatements.
