AN ACT CONCERNING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE MINIMUM BUDGET REQUIREMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-262i of the general statutes be amended to exempt a town from a minimum budget requirement for education if the combined state and federal aid for education is less than the prior fiscal year for such town.
Statement of Purpose:
To relieve towns of the fiscal burden of meeting a state imposed minimum budget requirement if state and federal funding for education declines.
