AN ACT AMENDING THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING LAND USE APPEALS PROCESS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to permit local control over the development of affordable housing, except that the affordable housing land use appeals process shall be reinstated on the date five years after the effective date of this section in those municipalities in which affordable housing comprises less than ten per cent of the housing stock.
Statement of Purpose:
To suspend the affordable housing land use appeals process for five years and to allow local control over the development of affordable housing.
