AN ACT CONCERNING PRESUMPTIVE ELIGIBILITY FOR HOME CARE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to establish presumptive eligibility for persons who apply for home care benefits under title XIX of the Social Security Act and whose medical needs meet or exceed a skilled nursing facility level of care.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce the waiting time for approval and benefits for qualified applicants to state-administered home-care programs.
