AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROPERTY TAXES OF MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that the property taxes of any person on active duty and serving outside of the United States as a member of the armed forces shall not be deemed delinquent until such person returns to the state, and further providing that municipalities shall waive any interest or penalty incurred as a result of any delinquent taxes while such person was on active duty.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide property tax relief to members of the armed forces serving on active duty.
