AN ACT PROHIBITING THE INCREASE OF TUITION AT A FOUR-YEAR PUBLIC INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a public institution of higher education from increasing a student's tuition rate during the period in which such student is attending a four-year public institution of higher education.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide stability to students and their families in planning for the cost of higher education.
