AN ACT CONCERNING A CENTRALIZED ENERGY PROCUREMENT PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Utility Control to develop a plan to include a centralized energy procurement program to locate and negotiate lower electric rates for state residents.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Public Utility Control to explore broad procurement policies regarding energy supply to assure lower rates for consumers.
