AN ACT ALLOWING POLICE OFFICERS TO TOW MOTOR VEHICLES WHEN DRIVERS FAIL TO PROVIDE PROOF OF INSURANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow any police officer to cause a motor vehicle to be towed if the operator of such motor vehicle fails to provide proof of motor vehicle insurance to such officer.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a police officer to have a vehicle towed if the operator of such vehicle does not provide proof of insurance.
