AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRIVATIZATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to request a waiver of the supplemental nutrition assistance program requirements to permit the transfer of the responsibility for administration of said program from the Department of Social Services to private community-based providers.
Statement of Purpose:
To privatize the administration of the supplemental nutrition assistance program.
