AN ACT CONCERNING OUT-OF-STATE RESIDENTS AND UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require individuals residing outside of the state of Connecticut that are eligible for and receiving unemployment benefits administered through the state of Connecticut to document and submit to the administrator, on a monthly basis, written verification that such individual has applied for and actively sought suitable work during the previous month.
Statement of Purpose:
To require out-of-state residents receiving state unemployment compensation to produce proof of job search.
