AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING SAFETY SIGNS AND SIGNALS TO WARN TRACTOR-TRAILER OPERATORS OF LOW BRIDGES AND IMPROVEMENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds in accordance with sections 13b-74 to 13b-77, inclusive, of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate ____ dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Transportation for the purpose of installing safety signs and signals to prevent tractor-trailers from colliding with low bridges and other improvements.

Statement of Purpose:

To install safety signs and signals to warn tractor-trailer operators of low bridges and improvements.
