AN ACT CONCERNING THE STATE MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM FOR MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL DEMAND RESPONSIVE TRANSPORTATION FOR PERSONS WITH A DISABILITY WHO ARE SIXTY OR MORE YEARS OF AGE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 13b-57s of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2011):

[During the fiscal years ending June 30, 2006, and June 30, 2007] Commencing with the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011, and each fiscal year thereafter, the sum of five million dollars shall be expended from the Transportation Strategy Board projects account for grants-in-aid and administrative expenses under the state matching grant program for demand responsive transportation established pursuant to section 13b-38bb. The funding shall be included in the annual financing plan adopted pursuant to section 13b-57q. The funds shall remain available until expended.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

To restore funding for the state matching grant program for municipal and regional demand responsive transportation for persons with a disability who are sixty or more years of age.
