AN ACT CONCERNING GUARDIANS FOR MINOR BENEFICIARIES OF IRREVOCABLE TRUSTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 802c of the general statutes be amended to allow a court to appoint a guardian ad litem for a minor with a beneficial interest in an irrevocable trust. The guardian ad litem shall have the authority to act on behalf of the minor regarding the exercise of certain limited powers by an irrevocable trust fiduciary.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow a court to appoint a guardian ad litem to represent a minor with a beneficial interest in an irrevocable trust.
