AN ACT REQUIRING THE INSTALLATION OF "WRONG WAY" TIRE SPIKES ON EXIT RAMPS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2011) The Department of Transportation shall install, at the end of ramps from limited access highways that are used by vehicles to exit such highways, a device that will puncture the tires of a motor vehicle attempting to enter any such highway by means of such ramp.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Section 1

October 1, 2011

Statement of Purpose:

To prevent accidents caused by motor vehicles attempting to enter limited access highways by means of exit ramps from such highways.
