AN ACT CONCERNING FORMULATION OF THE STATE BUDGET.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2013) Not later than November 30, 2013, and not later than each November thirtieth thereafter, the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies shall meet with the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, the director of the legislative Office of Fiscal Analysis, and such other persons as they deem appropriate, to review the process by which the biennial budget document and any document making adjustments to the biennial budget are prepared in accordance with part II of chapter 50 of the general statutes.


This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	July 1, 2013	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To ensure efficiency and clarity in the preparation of the biennial budget of the state.
