HOUSE BILL NO. 256
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 7 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE EMISSIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Chapter 67, Title 7 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 6710. Repair Waiver Expenditure Limit
Notwithstanding any standards, codes, rules, policies, regulations, or laws to the contrary, the State shall not require the expenditure for repairs for 1981 and newer vehicles to exceed $450 for such a vehicle to receive a repair waiver under this chapter.
Section 2. This Act shall become effective January 1, 2025.
SYNOPSIS
This act limits the repair waiver expenditure required by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control to a uniform statewide amount of $450.
