HOUSE BILL NO. 341
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO AN APPROPRIATION TO AN ENTITY EMPLOYING A MEMBER OF THE JOINT FINANCE COMMITTEE OR JOINT COMMITTEE ON CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Subchapter III, Chapter 63, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 6341A. Funding to entity employing Joint Finance Committee member prohibited.
An appropriation for a grant-in-aid may not be made to a nongovernmental entity that employs a member of the Joint Finance Committee.
Section 2. Amend Subchapter III-A, Chapter 63, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 6342A. Funding to entity employing Joint Committee on Capital Improvement member prohibited.
An appropriation in the annual capital improvement act may not be made to a nongovernmental entity that employs a member of the Joint Committee on Capital Improvement.
SYNOPSIS
This Act prohibits the following:
(1) An appropriation for a grant-in-aid to a nongovernmental entity that employs a member of the Joint Finance Committee, as the Joint Finance Committee is charged with preparing the annual grants-in-aid act.
(2) An appropriation for funding under the annual capital improvement act to a nongovernmental entity that employs a member of the Joint Committee on Capital Improvement, as the Joint Committee on Capital Improvement is charged with preparing the annual capital improvement act.
