HOUSE BILL NO. 365
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 4 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend § 904(h), Title 4 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 904 Offenses concerning certain persons.
(h) Nothing in this section shall prevent the employment of a person 19 18 years of age or older to serve alcoholic liquor to patrons of establishments clubs with authorized dining facilities, hotels, racetracks and restaurants licensed under this title for the on-premises sale and consumption of alcoholic liquor, excepting taverns and taprooms .
SYNOPSIS
Currently, the age for wait staff to serve alcohol to a patron is 19 years old. This Act lowers the age of persons permitted to serve alcohol from 19 to 18 years of age for all establishments licensed for the on-premises sale and consumption of alcoholic liquor except taverns and taprooms.
