HOUSE BILL NO. 391

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1. Amend Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§5813B. Report disclosing benefits of previously supported legislation.

Every member of the General Assembly or person elected to a state office shall disclose as part of their financial disclosure if they have received more than $10,000 in the last 10 years due to the sale or transfer of land, development rights, an agricultural conservation easement, a forest preservation easement, or any other type of easement to the State of Delaware, any county, any municipality, any public instrumentality, any government agency or any government organization. Any person required to make a disclosure pursuant to this section shall disclose the amount of money received and which public instrumentality, government agency or government organization purchased or received the land, development rights, agricultural conservation easement, forest preservation easement or other type of easement.


SYNOPSIS

This bill provides that every member of the General Assembly or person elected to state office shall disclose as part of their financial disclosure if they have received more than $10,000 in the last 10 years due to the sale of land, development rights, an agricultural conservation easement, a forest preservation easement or any other type of easement to the State of Delaware, any county, any municipality, any public instrumentality, or any government agency or organization.
