150th GENERAL ASSEMBLY
SENATE BILL NO. 133
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SPECIAL ANIMAL WELFARE LICENSE PLATES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend § 2139F, Title 21 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 2139F. Special animal welfare license plates.
(g) For purposes of this section, the "Fund Committee" shall consist of the following 6 persons 7 members or their respective designees:
(1) The Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Services, which person who shall also act as Chairperson of the committee and shall serve as an ex officio nonvoting member; member.
(2) The President Executive Director of the First State Animal Center— SPCA Board of Directors; SPCA.
(3) The President Executive Director of the Delaware SPCA Board of Directors; SPCA.
(4) The President Executive Director of the Delaware Humane Association Board of Directors; Association.
(5) The President Executive Director of the Faithful Friends Animal Society Board of Directors; and, Society.
(6) The President of the State Veterinary Board.
(7) The Executive Director of the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
SYNOPSIS
This Act revises the membership of the Fund Committee for special animal welfare license plates by including the Executive Directors of organizations instead of the presidents of the organization’s board of directors and adds the Executive Director of the Brandywine Valley SPCA to the Fund Committee.
This Act also makes technical corrections to conform existing law to the standards of the Delaware Legislative Drafting Manual.
