SENATE BILL NO. 206 |
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 10 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO GENERAL PROVISION APPLICABLE TO VACANCIES IN OFFICE FOR COMMISSIONERS. |
Section 1. Amend §1991, Title 10 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 1991 Appointment of commissioner or commissioners; term, vacancies and qualifications.
(b)
Vacancies in office shall be filled for the unexpired term by the Governor
with the consent of a majority of all of the members elected to the Senate.
Vacancies in office shall be filled for a term of 4 years by the Governor,
with the consent of a majority of all members elected to the Senate.
SYNOPSIS
This Act updates a general provision of the code to reflect current practice and conform with specific statutory language applicable to the appointment of a vacant office for a commissioner in the Superior Court or the Court of Common Pleas. |
