SENATE BILL NO. 6 AS AMENDED BY SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2 AND HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1 |
Section 1.Amend §902(a), Title 19, Delaware Code, by making insertions as shown by underlying and deletions as shown by strike through as follows:
(a) Every employer shall pay wages of
a rate of not less than $6.15 per hour through December 31, 2006, and $6.65 per
hour effective January 1, 2007, and $7.15 per hour effective January 1, 2008,
to every employee in any occupation, except as may be otherwise provided under
this chapter. Upon the establishment of a federal minimum wage in excess of the
State minimum wage, the minimum wage in this State shall be equal in amount to
the federal minimum wage, except as may otherwise be provided under this chapter.
(a) Except as may otherwise be provided under this chapter, every employer shall pay to every employee in any occupation wages of a rate i) not less than $7.75 per hour effective June 1, 2014 and ii) not less than $8.25 per hour effective June 1, 2015.Upon the establishment of a federal minimum wage in excess of the State minimum wage, the minimum wage in this State shall be equal in amount to the federal minimum wage, except as may otherwise be provided under this chapter.
