DELAWARE STATE SENATE

148th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 66

EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE CLEAN WATER AND FLOOD ABATEMENT TASK FORCE.

WHEREAS, the Clean Water and Flood Abatement Task Force was established under Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 30 of the 148^th General Assembly to study and make findings and recommendations regarding ways to improve water quality and alleviate flooding in Delaware; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force was directed to submit its findings and recommendations report to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives no later than January 31, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 41 of the 148^th General Assembly extended the date by which the findings and recommendations report was due to March 31, 2016 in order to give the Task Force additional time to develop the recommendations; and

WHEREAS, Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 54 of the 148^th General Assembly extended the date by which the findings and recommendations report was due to April 30, 2016 in order to give the Task Force additional time to develop the recommendations; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force has worked diligently on its study, but is not yet prepared to submit its report; and

WHEREAS, the members of the Task Force believe that they will be able to submit the report by May 24, 2016;

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 148^th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House concurring therein, that the date by which the findings and recommendations report of the Clean Water and Flood Abatement Task Force is due be extended to May 24, 2016.

SYNOPSIS

This resolution extends the due date of the findings and recommendations report of the Clean Water and Flood Abatement Task Force from April 30, 2016 to May 24, 2016.
