House . . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Farmer moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 92 - 95 4 and insert: 5 (h) Ensure that all employees and volunteers of a provider 6 provide only medically accurate information to clients, 7 including, but not limited to, information on family planning, 8 birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, 9 abortion, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. Such 10 information must be: 11 1. Verified or supported by the weight of medical research 12 conducted in compliance with accepted scientific methods; 13 2. Recognized as correct and objective by leading medical 14 organizations with relevant expertise, such as the American 15 Medical Association, the American Congress of Obstetricians and 16 Gynecologists, the American Public Health Association, the 17 American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of 18 Physicians, and the American Academy of Family Physicians; or by 19 government agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and 20 Prevention, the federal Food and Drug Administration, the 21 National Cancer Institute, the American Psychological 22 Association, and the National Institutes of Health; or 23 3. Recommended by or affirmed in the medical practice 24 guidelines of a nationally recognized accrediting organization, 25 such as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare 26 Organizations, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, the 27 American Medical Accreditation Program, the American 28 Accreditation HealthCare Commission/Utilization Review 29 Accreditation Commission, and the Accreditation Association for 30 Ambulatory Health Care.
