Floor: WD/2R . 04/29/2013 04:02 PM . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Detert moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 2 3 Between lines 321 and 322 4 insert: 5 (g)1. If the parent of a student attending a charter school 6 that was opened pursuant to subparagraph (b)3. transfers his or 7 her child to a traditional public school, the charter school 8 shall transfer the per-child funding it received for that child 9 back to the school district within which the public school is 10 located. 11 2. If a charter school that was opened pursuant to 12 subparagraph (b)3. receives a grade of “F,” the parents of 13 students attending that charter school may submit a petition to 14 the district school board requiring the charter school to return 15 any public funds it received for that school year. Such petition 16 shall be validated as provided in s. 1003.07(6)(f) and (g). 17 18 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 19 And the title is amended as follows: 20 Delete line 41 21 and insert: 22 selected by the parent; authorizing the transfer of 23 certain funds relating to charter schools that are 24 opened in accordance with a particular turnaround 25 option; amending s. 1012.2315, F.S.;
