House . . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Rodrigues moved the following: 1 Senate Substitute for Amendment (889914) (with title 2 amendment) 3 4 Between lines 77 and 78 5 insert: 6 Section 2. Subsection (2) of section 106.113, Florida 7 Statutes, is amended to read: 8 106.113 Expenditures by local governments.— 9 (2) A local government or a person acting on behalf of 10 local government may not expend or authorize the expenditure of, 11 and a person or group may not accept, public funds for a 12 political advertisement or any otherelectioneering13 communication sent to electors concerning an issue, referendum, 14 or amendment, including any state question, that is subject to a 15 vote of the electors. This subsection appliesdoes not applyto 16 aan electioneeringcommunication initiated byfroma local 17 government or a person acting on behalf of a local government, 18 irrespective of whether the communicationwhichis limited to 19 factual information or advocates for the passage or defeat of an 20 issue, referendum, or amendment.
