House . . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Ring moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 2 3 Between lines 382 and 383 4 insert: 5 Section 5. Paragraph (d) of subsection (10) of section 6 1002.33, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 7 1002.33 Charter schools.— 8 (10) ELIGIBLE STUDENTS.— 9 (d) A charter school may give enrollment preference to the 10 following student populations: 11 1. Students who are siblings of a student enrolled in the 12 charter school. 13 2. Students who are the children of a member of the 14 governing board of the charter school. 15 3. Students who are the children of an employee of the 16 charter school. 17 4. Students who are the children of: 18 a. An employee of the business partner of a charter school 19 in-the-workplace established under paragraph (15)(b) or a 20 resident of the municipality in which such charter school is 21 located; or 22 b. A resident or an employee of a municipality that 23 operates a charter school-in-a-municipality pursuant to 24 paragraph (15)(c) or allows a charter school to use a school 25 facility or portion of land provided by the municipality for the 26 operation of the charter school. 27 5. Students who have successfully completed a voluntary 28 prekindergarten education program under ss. 1002.51-1002.79 29 provided by the charter school or the charter school’s governing 30 board during the previous year. 31 6. Students who are the children of an active duty member 32 of any branch of the United States Armed Forces. 33 34 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 35 And the title is amended as follows: 36 Between lines 41 and 42 37 insert: 38 amending s. 1002.33, F.S.; authorizing a charter 39 school to give enrollment preference to students of 40 certain municipal employees;
