House Comm: RCS . 04/11/2013 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Regulated Industries (Detert) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 734 - 746 4 and insert: 5 efficiency ratings of the Florida Building Code-Energy 6 ConservationEnergy Efficiency Code for Building Construction. 7 These efficiency ratings mustshallbe minimums and may be 8 updated in the Florida Building Code-Energy ConservationFlorida9Energy Efficiency Code for Building Constructionby the 10 department in accordance with s. 553.901, following its 11 determination that more cost-effective energy-saving equipment 12 and techniques are available. It is the intent of the 13 Legislature that all replacement air-conditioning systems be 14 installed using energy-saving, quality installation procedures 15 in residential, including, but not limited to,equipment sizing 16 analysis and duct inspection. Notwithstanding this section, 17 existing heating and cooling equipment in residential 18 applications need not meet the minimum equipment efficiencies, 19 including system sizing and duct sealing,
