House Comm: RCS . 04/21/2013 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Appropriations (Bean) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 2 3 Between lines 96 and 97 4 insert: 5 Section 2. Subsections (1) and (6) of section 459.0075, 6 Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 7 459.0075 Limited licenses.— 8 (1) Any person desiring to obtain a limited license shall: 9 (a) Submit to the board a licensure application and fee 10 required by this chapter. However, an osteopathic physician who 11 is not fully retired in all jurisdictions may use a limited 12 license only for noncompensated practice. If the person applying 13 for a limited license submits anotarizedstatement from the 14 employing agency or institution stating that she or he will not 15 receive monetary compensation for any service involving the 16 practice of osteopathic medicine, the application fee and all 17 licensure fees shall be waived. However, any person who receives 18 a waiver of fees for a limited license shall pay such fees if 19 the person receives compensation for the practice of osteopathic 20 medicine. 21 (b) Submit proofan affidavitthat such osteopathic 22 physician has been licensed to practice osteopathic medicine in 23 any jurisdiction in the United States in good standing and 24 pursuant to law for at least 10 years. 25 (c) Complete an amount of continuing education established 26 by the board. 27(d) Within 60 days after receipt of an application for a28limited license, the board shall review the application and29issue the limited license or notify the applicant of denial.30(6) Any person desiring a limited license shall meet all31the requirements of s.459.0055, except s.459.0055(1)(d).32 33 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 34 And the title is amended as follows: 35 Delete line 14 36 and insert: 37 patients; amending s. 459.0075, F.S.; revising 38 qualifications necessary to obtain a limited license 39 to practice osteopathic medicine; providing an 40 effective date.
