       Senator Montford moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (318628) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 1711 - 1717
    4  and insert:
    5  and school safety officers.–The purpose of this section is to
    6  provide for the protection and safety of students, school
    7  personnel, visitors, and property through the provision of one
    8  or more school resource officers or school safety officers at
    9  each school facility within the district, to the extent funds
   10  are available for that purpose in the safe schools allocation
   11  established pursuant to s. 1011.62 to fund such officers
   12  authorized in subsections (1) and (2). Funds appropriated for
   13  the Florida Sheriff’s Marshal Program may also be used to fund
   14  school resource officers or school safety officers authorized in
   15  subsections (1) and (2). District school boards shall implement
   16  at least one of the following options:
