       Senator Montford moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (234288) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 1732 - 1738
    4  and insert:
    5  school and school safety officers.–The purpose of this section
    6  is to provide for the protection and safety of students, school
    7  personnel, visitors, and property through the provision of one
    8  or more school resource officers or school safety officers at
    9  each school facility within the district, to the extent that
   10  funds are available for that purpose in the safe schools
   11  allocation established pursuant to s. 1011.62 to fund such
   12  officers authorized in subsections (1) and (2). Funds
   13  appropriated for the Florida Sheriff’s Marshal Program may also
   14  be used to fund school resource officers or school safety
   15  officers authorized in subsections (1) and (2). District school
   16  boards shall implement at least one of the following options:
