House . . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Transportation (Brandes) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with directory amendment) 2 3 Between lines 54 and 55 4 insert: 5 (30) SHARE THE ROAD LICENSE PLATES.— 6 (a) The department shall develop a Share the Road license 7 plate as provided in this section. The word “Florida” must 8 appear at the top of the plate, and the words “Share the Road” 9 must appear at the bottom of the plate. 10 (b) The annual use fees shall be distributed to Bike 11 Florida, Inc., up to 1525percent of which shall be used for 12 marketing and promotion of the “Share the Road” concept and 13 license plate, and up to 25 percent of which shall be used for 14 marketing and promotion of Bike Florida Tours. The remaining 15 funds shall bedivided equally between Bike Florida, Inc., and16the Florida Bicycle Association, Inc., to beused for: 17 1. Education and awareness programs on, forbicycle safety 18 and motorist safety, with emphasis on sharing the roadway by all 19 users, to be presented annually in North Florida, Central 20 Florida, and South Florida. 21 2.
