1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the Public Service Commission; creating
3	s. 350.129, F.S.; requiring approval by the Legislature of
4	any vote taken by the commission which approves an
5	increase in rates charged to customers for electric,
6	natural gas, telecommunications, water, or wastewater
7	service before the vote of the commission takes effect;
8	providing an effective date.

10	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12	Section 1.  Section 350.129, Florida Statutes, is created
13	to read:
14	350.129  Legislative approval of rate increases.-Before
15	taking effect, a vote by the Public Service Commission approving
16	an increase in rates charged to customers for electric, natural
17	gas, telecommunications, water, or wastewater service must be
18	ratified by a majority vote of the Senate and the House of
19	Representatives.
20	Section 2.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2012.
